My idea is my favorite idea becuase i read over some other ones and i honestly dont really like them so im sticking with my own idea
ReplyDeleteI think there should be a cool club type theme..I think that it'll be cool to have a fog machine and a lot of different colored lights with some good music (related to theme) and have a lot of cool metallic type balloons.
i think a movie theme would be my top choice. It is my top choise becasue for the movie indeana jones we could dress the float up as a bolder and play the theme music and have sound affects liek a whip. then for the other school we could do other famous movies. Then on the inside we could pick a movie and decorate.
ReplyDeleteI liked the band idea (carissa sweet) with the fog and light show. I think itd be entertaining. The problem with bands is the genre of music, some people dont like different types of music. So we'd have difficulty deciding on a band.

ReplyDeletelive music would be very exiting. but we could be towing a old junky car with the viking colors on it and smash it afterwards.
I propose that we do a live band float and also be towing an old junky carto smash up afterwards.
My favorite idea is the "Dance club theme" by Courtney Savage, because of the strobe lights, fog machines and the theme in general it sounds fun to me. So, as I think this is a good theme for the float I think it would go well with a "Rave" like theme for the homecoming theme that would work well for all schools.

ReplyDeleteWhen reading over the ideas for the homecoming float, I have came to the conclusion that we should go with the one one that suggests that we do a music theme. The reason for this is everyone likes music and it would be a good experience. Also it suggested that we use strobe lights which would give the float a high-energy feel, and would be very appropriate for homecoming.
ReplyDeletei think that the idea of having a local band play on the float would be cool because it is very different and all people like music and then each small school could have a differnt theme of music.
ReplyDeleteI think the best idea is Jacob Broderick's. His idea about doing a international theme I think is a great idea where we have different pictures and music from different country's.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the stereotypes because we would be poking fun at the absurdity of them. I also like the idea of throwing candy and candyland so it could be tied into Halloween.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite idea was the school stereotype theme by jonathan obeso.I think it would be cool to see how schools present themselves vs. how other people think of them. I think you could have lots of fun and be really creative.

While i read over the ideas i decided on the music theme. With a music theme everyone can relate in some way. It could be a different genre of music for every small school. We could use strobe lights and fog machines and stuff.

ReplyDeleteThere could be a halloween theme. Cliche i know, but it does make sence. What better way to celebrate homecoming than pay homage to a pagan ritual???? I can't think of any.
ReplyDeleteI still like my idea the best. I think that because we are playing the Mazama Vikings that our float should have something to do with a Crater Comet crushing a Mazama Viking.

ReplyDeleteI think that homecomming should be very fancy like in a movie fancy but should still have the character of the schools.. We should have disco balls, including one big one right in the middle with all different color lights shining all over it, reflecting on the floor. possibly a live band,beverages oooo and also a fog machine or a steam machine.

I agree with spiderman's earlier post about having a metal band playing on the float, though I think that it should be a more classic metal, or rock n roll band that everyone recognizes and can relate to.

I like the different stereotype idea so you can see what all the schools are really like. Or everyone could wear there school colors. Candy idea is good also to go along with Halloween.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have an idea of my own for this float. But some of the other sophmores do. Everyone seems to be set on doing something music related but I don't know how well that would work out, but then again you can't make everyone happy with the music you choose.

ReplyDeleteI liked the candy land idea, after all who doesn't love candy. I think that would be awesome and I still definately think that we need music and a DJ. Oh, and a fog machine would be really cool as well.
ReplyDeleteAs I took into consideration other peoples opinions I liked a few ideas from a few different people. I liked *cassiy*c*'s idea with doing our school colors (black and orange),but in my opinion I think it would be cool for all the floats to look the same except for the colors on each float should just be changed to the particular small schools' color (1=red,2=blue..and so on and so fourth) Also, I liked Obesos idea of having the people dress as the career..(1=doctors and nurses) When I read Nathan Garnets comment I liked his idea of building the tower(empire state building) for the BIS logo. In conclusion I think it would be cool to have floats with little trees with christmas lights in them and have each of the four schools differentiated by school color and their logo. I think this would be a great idea because it would show what we are about and how each of the small schools are different.
ReplyDeleteI like Kenneth's idea of having a float on movies of 2009. There were some good movies this year, and it would be fun to have each school be a different movie. So the overal themem would be movies of 09.

That would be really cool, and i also like her idea of having smoke with strobe lights underneath the smoke, that would really attract the eye. But for the homecoming theme that involves all four schools, i think it should be our school colors, and look resemble a club, because it is a dance.
ReplyDeleteI like the stereotype idea by carissa. It can involve all four schools, and it's funny because we can basically be humble and make happy fun of everyone at the same time because we know the stereotypes are dumb labels. It could be very interesting.
