Wow! Fall is on its way already, and that means Homecoming is soon to follow! The BIS team is determined to make Homecoming 2009 as amazing as possible. Therefore, we're interested in hearing your specific ideas and comments. So, answer the following question in two or more complete sentences:
What ideas do you have to make the BIS float as animated, creative, and technological as possible?
If you have a criticism of a previous float or of another idea, you must offer a POSITIVE suggestion along with your criticism.

I suggest a "Movies of 2009" theme, with different parts from each movies, such as big movies like Transformers or District 9. We could make things from those movies and put them on the float, or just theme the float from one movie. I believe we could use little transformer toys, or make one from scratch, along with posters from the movie, or promotional material.
ReplyDeleteI would like to suggest an Apple i-Pod themed float. We could make some i-Pod's out of cardboard and such, with tv screens to play as the i-Pod's screen, and have it run some kind of dvd that shows an i-Pod functioning. We could do many kinds of i-Pod things, maybe some Mac computers, etc. This showcases lots of technology and business which is what our school is about, right?
ReplyDeletei think a racing theme would be a cool idea we could da a race car for the float with realistic sounds then inside we could do a finish line type idea with checkered flag and a pit stop where you would get food and drinks. the other thing we could do a movie theme with for the float we could make thing look like the movie and we could play the theme music for the movie and inside would look like a scene from the movie.

ReplyDeleteI came up with a krispy kream donut theme. our lovely homecoming king and queen could even wear a state of the art krispy kream hat. Another them is poptarts. The poptart wrappers have pretty funny drawings on it. Or possibly even jelly bellies.
ReplyDeleteI think a great theme for this years float would be a candyland theme. It could have candycanes and oversized gumdrops, somewhat like charlie and the chocolate factory.
ReplyDeleteI think we could do an international theme. It could have music and pictures from different countries. On different parts of the float you could put different countries' themes.

ReplyDeleteWe could make a float look like the BIS logo. With the B, The tower for the I and the S. We could put people in the window's of the tower, and the can scream, throw candy or whatever.
ReplyDeleteI think there should be a cool club type theme..I think that it'll be cool to have a fog machine and a lot of different colored lights with some good music (related to theme) and have a lot of cool metallic type balloons.

ReplyDeleteI think that the float should have lots of balloons with the orange C that stands for Crater. I also think it should have fog machines, some bright colorful lights, and good music.
ReplyDeleteI dont thnk it should be anything overly fancey. I just think we should have a fall theme with leaves, trees, pumkins or black cats etc, and of course with music.. and some candy etc :P. Kina like a halloween theme

ReplyDeleteI think we should do some theme where it involves a light show and fog and maybe even a snow machine ... some green laser lights roamin around thru the fog ... and fireworks in the background ... and then to top it all off some black lights and some music :D

ReplyDeleteI think a haunted house float would be cool since homecoming is the day before halloween. Have the float be all scary looking and stuff and there would need to be a fog machine. Also the homecoming court would need to wear scary costumes.

ReplyDeleteOn the homecoming float I'd like to see a well put together theme, and a theme that is based on something modern like a dance club or even a futuristic float complete with robots or aliens. At the dance I think people would have fun with black lights and a dance club type theme because since it is a dance I think it should be themed like one. I was thinking crater colored glow sticks and if it exists colored fog machines. Strobe lights would be a fun addition.--Courtney Savage
